5. ADJUSTMENT OF THE INDEXER CLAMP FEET MOVEMENT
1. Position the indexer clamp feet for angle
movement of the material - see fig. 1.
2. By pressing the key on the
control panel, check whether the distance X
between the indexer clamp feet and the
sewing head clamp feet is the same of the
left side and right side too.
3. If the distance is not the same, do the
following steps:
a) switch the machine off and
disconnect the air supply
b) tilt the sewing head on the rest pin
(see section E3) and remove the
indexer cover ➊. Place the sewing
head back into its working position.
c) move the indexer clamp feet to
utmost position and swivel
them so that the indexer clamp mat is
parallel with the sewing head clamp
mat - see fig. 2, 3.
d) loosen the screw ➋ and the indexer
clamp feet arm ➌ (see page 1-53) to
obtain the same distance on the both
sides.
If the distance X is larger on the left
side, move the indexer clamp feet
arm to the right.
If the distance X is smaller on the
left side, move the indexer clamp feet
arm to the left. Tighten the screw ➋.
e) connect the air supply and switch the
machine on.
f) check if the distance X between the
clamp feet is the same on the both
sides by pressing the key.
