4. ADJUSTMENT FOR ANGLE BUTTONHOLES
First check whether the indexer clamp feet arm is in the position of 90° against of the casting of the bedplate
➊. If it is not, loosen the screw ➋ and move the clamp feet arm into the required position. Tighten the screw.
NOTE: Switch off the air pressure supply before making this adjustment. Make sure that indexer clamp
feet are in the position for cross movement of the material - see F3, point 1 (page 1-50).
The clamp feet angle is ensured by the air pneumatic cylinder ➌. It is necessary to regulate the air flow
coming into the cylinder to make sure the swivelling works well. T
oo much airflow and the movement
becomes rough. To make ascertain smooth movement of the angling mechanism, adjust as follows:
1. Remove the indexer cover ➍.
2. Loosen the locking nut ➎ and turn the regulator ➏ clockwise. Ensure the position with
the nut.
3. Loosen the screw ➐ and move the nut to the left from the locking lever ➑ in arrow direction.
Tighten the screw.
4. Connect the air supply and turn the main power switch on
by turning clockwise to
the I position.
5. By pressing the key, check the indexer clamp feet smooth movement.
