3. After trench is complete, line the bottom of the trench with a 1”-2” layer of washed
gravel. Be sure to avoid crushed rock. These fill materials will clog the perforations
and will prohibit draining,
4. Now lay the 4in FlexDrainPro PERFORATED WITH SOCK pipe into the trench
5. Backfill the trench with washed gravel until the drainpipe is completely covered. Be
sure to fill in around each side of the pipe, and over the top of the perforated pipe
with 1-3” of the washed gravel.
6. Place a final layer of topsoil over the gravel and tamp down, creating a smooth
transition to existing ground surface.
