You can set up your NAS server using the Console User Interface (UI). When you first
boot up your NAS server, you are presented with the AMI NAS authentication screen.
The AMI NAS authentication screen displays the following fields:
Name Description
Host Name This field displays the host name of the NAS server. The default system name is
nasxxxxxxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxxxxxx is the MAC address. For example, if
your MAC address is 00112233445566, then your NAS server’s network name (host
name) is nas00112233445566.
IP Address This field displays the IP address of the network interface card(s).
System Date This field displays the month, day, and year that is set on the NAS server.
System Time This field displays the hour, minute, and seconds that is set on the NAS server.
Software Version This field displays the version of the NAS software.
Build Date This field displays the build date of the NAS software.
Please Authenticate
This field allows you to type the root password of the NAS server so that you can log
into the Console UI.

Keyboard Key Function
<ARROW UP> Moves the cursor up.
<ARROW DOWN> Moves the cursor down.
<ARROW LEFT> Moves the cursor to the left.
<ARROW RIGHT> Moves the cursor to the right
<TAB> Switches between separate fields.
<SPACE> Used to select and set an option. It can also be used to deselect an
option.
<ENTER> Executes selected function.
