Events and Alerts

This section allows you to do the following:

z view all event log messages stored on your NAS server. There is no specified limit

for the amount of log entries that your NAS server can store.

z set a remote mail server (SMTP) and up to four administrative email addresses to

be notified of alert conditions.

z enable SNMP traps. This is used to send alert notifications, known as SNMP traps,

to remote management servers.
