5 AMI_ClientCare Installation
Procedure
This procedure is valid when installing AMI_ClientCare
in a computer with an AMI Series 774 MegaRUM II
motherboard.
Installation Requirements
• A computer with a Series 774 MegaRUM II
motherboard and a system BIOS that has the DMI-
enabled BIOS file S774P.ROM, dated 11/05/98.
• The AMI_ClientCare installation CD
Procedure
Step 1 Flash the new S774P.ROM file on to the MegaRUM II
BIOS on the Series 774 MegaRUM II motherboard. See
Chapter 3, Flashing ROM BIOS, for information about
flashing the BIOS. The new BIOS must be installed before
system information can be displayed correctly.
Step 2 Boot Windows NT on this computer after the new BIOS
has been successfully installed.
Step 3 Place the AMI_ClientCare CD in the CD-ROM drive.
Run the SETUP program on the AMI_ClientCare CD.
Follow the instructions on the screen. See the American
Megatrends AMI_ClientCare User’s Guide (part number
MAN-CLIENT) for information about using
AMI_ClientCare.
