Setup Setting the Time & Date The first time you plug in your Neverlate, use the Setup Sequence to input the current time and date: 1. Ensure that the MODE knob is in either the “Run” or “All Off” position. Press and hold the SETUP key for two (2) seconds to initiate the Setup Sequence. 2. Twist the VALUE collar or use the SEEK | SCAN +/- keys to adjust the value of each parameter. 3. Press the SETUP key between steps and to complete the procedure.
Using the Radio and Station Presets The Neverlate Executive contains a high-quality FM/AM digital tuner and can store up to twenty (20) station presets. Basic Operation Turn the radio on or off using the ON | OFF key. Note that the radio cannot be toggled on or off while the MODE knob is in any of the alarm set positions. Use the SRC | SAVE key to cycle the audio source between FM, AM and AUX (See Using Inputs & Outputs on page 16 for more information on using the auxiliary audio input).
Understanding the Neverlate’s Alarm Features The Neverlate Executive contains three “banks” of alarms: One “Daily” alarm bank (alarms sound every day) and two “7-day” alarm banks (day-specific alarms sound on a weekly schedule). Daily Alarm Bank Up to seven Daily alarms may be set. The Daily alarm bank works just like any other alarm clock you may be familiar with. Any Daily alarms that are set (as many as seven) sound every day at the appointed time.
Setting Alarms In this manual, the term “active” is used to describe alarms that will sound and “inactive” is used to describe alarms that are disabled. Regardless of the alarm bank(s) used, all alarms are set in the same manner: 1. Position the inner MODE knob to any one of the seven (7) alarm set positions. The words appear. 2. Use the BANK key to toggle the alarm bank between: , , and 3. Press the ON | OFF key to toggle the active state of the alarm you are setting.
Using the Nap and Sleep Timers Using the Nap Timer The nap timer provides an easy way to take a power nap without having to disrupt any of your other alarm settings. To use the nap timer: 1. Press the NAP key. If the radio is on, it turns off automatically. The nap icon and the current nap duration (default: 0:20 mins) appear in the display. 2. If desired, adjust the nap timer duration using the VALUE collar. By default, the nap timer duration adjusts in 5-minute increments up to 2:00 hours. 3.
Setting User Preferences Advanced users may wish to customize one or more aspects of the way their Neverlate behaves: 1. Press and hold the PREFS key for two (2) seconds to initiate the Preferences Sequence. 2. Twist the VALUE collar or use the SEEK | SCAN +/- keys to adjust the value of each parameter. 3. Press the PREFS key between steps and to complete the procedure.
Advanced Features Alarm Skip The alarm skip feature is provided as a convenience for individuals who tend to wake up before their alarm sounds in the morning. To easily skip the next upcoming alarm just once: TIP: Turning the MODE knob to “ALL OFF” also cancels the alarm skip feature. 1. Press and hold the ON | OFF key for two (2) seconds. The word “SKIP” appears in the display. The upcoming alarm does not sound. 2.
Using Inputs & Outputs The rear panel of the Neverlate contains three jacks. Auxiliary (AUX) Input The AUX jack is used to play an MP3 player or any other lowpowered external audio source through the internal speaker: 1. Plug your audio source into the AUX jack. 2. Use the SRC | SAVE key to toggle the input source to AUX. TIP: Use a dual-sided (male-male) 1/8” audio cable (not included) to make the connection between most lowpowered audio devices and your Neverlate. 3.
