Partitioning Monitors and
Cameras
Use Monitors/Cameras to specify which monitors can
view specific cameras.

The left hand column represents camera numbers; the
top row represents monitor numbers. Use Page Up
(Iris Close), Page Down (Iris Open), Page Left
(Auxiliary On) and Page Right (Auxiliary Off) to display
additional monitor and camera numbers.
To change the partitioning setting for a monitor
and camera:
1. Move the cursor to the crosspoint of the monitor
column and camera row that you want to configure.
2. Press Enter (Shot) to change the setting.
Y (yes) indicates that a monitor can view a
specific camera.
N (no) indicates that a monitor cannot view a
specific camera.
By default, all monitors can view all cameras.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each monitor/camera you
want to change. Press Exit (Pattern) to return to the
previous menu.
Configuring Alarms
Use the Alarms menus to configure alarm messages;
configure RS-232, dome, and video loss alarms; and
associate alarms to monitors.

Configuring Alarm Messages
Use Alarm Messages to create messages to display
whenever alarms are active.

A maximum of 250 alarm messages can be entered
through this menu. Each message may contain two
lines of 24 characters (48 total characters). By
associating the message with alarm contacts by using
the four alarm setup menus, the message displays
whenever the alarm contact is activated or sent to a
paging device. The alarm message remains on screen
until the alarm is cleared.
To program alarm messages:
1. Move the cursor to the message number line.
2. Enter the message number (1-250) and press
Enter (Shot).
3. Enter the alarm message:
a. Press Next to move the cursor to the correct
position in the message.
b. Use the joystick to select the appropriate
character from the display of letters, numbers
and symbols. Press Enter (Shot) to select the
correct character.
c. Repeat steps 3a and 3b until the message is
complete.
4. Press Exit (Pattern) to return to the previous menu.
