Using the Main Selection Menu
The Main Selection menu provides access to the
MP48 features that may be configured using Menu
mode.

A flashing cursor appears on-screen to indicate the
current selection.
The following selections are available:
• System changes settings associated with
system options, date/time, port settings, monitor
status, and paging profiles.
• Monitors changes settings associated with
arming type and display format for the text
display monitors (monitors 1-8).
• Cameras changes settings associated with
pseudo-numbering, camera titles, and preset
titles.
• User/Keyboards changes settings associated
with user or keyboard priorities and user
passcodes.
Note: The User/Keyboard option changes
based on the User IDs setting on the System
Options menu.
• Switching changes settings associated with
system tours, system salvos, and event timers.
• Partitioning changes settings associated with
user access to system cameras, monitors, and
keyboards.
• Alarms configure alarm titles, alarm contacts,
and enables alarm association with system
monitors.
In addition, you can configure the language setting
for displaying menus. The supported languages are:
English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and
Spanish.
To select a menu items:
• Enter the number associated with the menu item
and press Enter (Shot).
• Use Up (Run) or Down (Hold) to move the
highlight. Press Enter (Shot) to make a
selection.
• Use the Tracker Ball to move the highlight and
press Enter (Shot) to make a selection.
Changing the Language Setting
The MP48 menus can be displayed in English,
French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
To change the language setting:
1. Move the cursor to the Language field.
2. Enter the following key combinations to select
the operating language:
Language Command
English 1 - Enter (Shot)
French 2 - Enter (Shot)
German 3 - Enter (Shot)
Spanish 4 - Enter (Shot)
Portuguese 5 - Enter (Shot)
Italian 6 - Enter (Shot)
Following language selection, all menus appear in
the selected language.
Changing System Settings
The System menu provides the means to configure
system options, time and date, ports, monitor status,
and paging profiles.
