Type/Object Exceptions
The level of permissions assigned to a role is controlled by exceptions. When a custom role is
initially created, full administrative access is granted by default, the role can then be edited to add
type and object exceptions to restrict access to resources and features.
It is important to understand the difference between Type and Object Type exceptions. Type
relates to general groups of objects E.G Recorders, Events while Object Exceptions relate to
specific objects E.G Recorder ‘X’ or Event ‘Y’.
