IR Corrected, Auto Iris Lenses:
The importance of selecting the right
lens for any application is often
overlooked. The rule of thumb: shorter
focal length or wide lenses (2 mm)
provide wide angle views. Longer
focal length or telephoto lenses
(16 mm or greater) narrow the view
and bring objects closer.
3 - 8 m m l e n s
Wide angle lens appropriate for large expanses.
2 - 1 2 m m l e n s
Normal lens appropriate for viewing wide to intermediate
scenes with more detail.
5 - 5 0 m m l e n s
Normal to telephoto lens appropriate for viewing large
areas and zooming in for greater detail.
