VCL
VL AN Control List indicates two types of VL AN, which are MAC
address‐basedVLANandProtocol‐basedVLAN.
MAC address‐base dVLAN decides the VLAN for forwarding an untagged
framebasedonthesourceMACaddressoftheframe.
MAC‐based VLANs group VLAN members by MAC address. With
MAC‐based
VLANconfigured,thedeviceaddsaVLAN tagtoanuntagged
frameaccordingtoitssourceMACaddress.MAC‐basedVLANsaremostly
usedin conjunctionwithsecuritytechnologiessuchas802.1Xtoprovide
secure,flexiblenetworkaccessforterminaldevices.
