Window, Door and other openings

14) For window, door and other openings, measure the dimensions

from the last installed panel to the area to be cut out. Mark these

measurements on an IWP. Using a circular (or hand) saw cut this

area out. The cut out area will need to have the foam recessed

around the opening by 1.5” (381 cm) in order to be placed

properly.

15) To frame the area of the cut out to accommodate attachment

points measure this opening to the correct dimensions. Attach the

cut out frame to the top plate.

16) Place the IWP with the cut out area in place. The supporting

vertical stud for the cut out area framing will be placed after the

cutout panel is tacked in placed. Fasten the panel around the

opening and sides to the frame.
