AmDry Installation Guide
Note: We recommend that the wall panels be cut in an open area preferably in a
garage or outdoors to keep the dust to a minimum. The use of safety glasses and a dust
mask is required during all cutting of the IWP.
Once you have measured the IWP to the proper dimension
using a circular saw cut the panel on the exterior (hard)
surface side. Turn the panel over and cut the foam insulation
to the same dimension. You will now need to cut out 1.5”
(3.81 cm) of the foam insulation where you have cut the
panel to allow for placement against the top or bottom plates.
9) To install the first panel, measure the corner stud exposed
that this panel will be installed on, this measurement should
be approximately 1.5” (3.81 cm) Once you have measured
the stud subtract 13/16” (2. cm) from this dimension this
measurement will be the amount of foam that will need to be
removed from one side of the IWP to sit tight against the
vertical corner stud. As an example if the stud is 1.5” (3.81
cm) you will need to remove 12/16” (1.9 cm) of foam. Place
a chalk line on the foam side of the IWP mark the area to be
removed. Using a circular saw (or a hand saw) cut the foam
along the chalk line. If you are using a circular saw you will
need to finish the cut to the correct depth using a hand saw.
Cut the bottom of the foam using a utility knife to remove the
cut foam piece. This side will be placed against the starting
corner wall stud.
10) Once the first panel set in place, using a course drywall
screw secure the panel to the corner stud. Place a vertical
stub (cut too the proper dimension) at the opposite end to the
corner stud.
Note: Before securing this stud to the top and bottom plate
ensure that the electric wire is stapled to the back of this
stud. You are now ready to secure the vertical stud to the
top and bottom plate. The panel can now be screwed to the
frame using coarse drywall screws.
11) To place the second IWP cut the panel to the correct
