AmDry Installation Guide
Note: To optimize the performance of the Amdry Insulated Wall panel it is recommend that they
be installed along with the Amdry Insulated Subfloor Panel, www.amdrysubfloor.com. The
Amdry Insulated System becomes a continuous thermal insulated assembly that provides
outstanding moisture, drainage and drying properties for a healthier quieter and more
comfortable basement environment.
Installation steps
1) Install the Amdry insulated subfloor panels in the area to be finished according to the
Amdry ISP installation guide. (Optional)
2) Measure the linear footage of the room area to be finished with the Amdry IWP, divide
this number by 2’ to determine the required number of Amdry IWP’s. The panels are 8’
high.
3) If your basement has pre-installed insulation (either covering a partial section or the
complete section of the wall) this insulation can remain in place and the IWP installed
snug against this insulation compressing it slightly. If you do not have any pre-installed
basement insulation leave a minimum of a 1” (2.54 cm) gap from the concrete basement
wall to the back of the IWP framing.
4) Install the top horizontal framing plates around the entire
room section to be completed. The top plate is fastened
directly to the ceiling / floor joists; ensure you have allowed
for the 1” (2.54 cm) between the bare concrete walls or in
front of the pre–installed insulation to ensure proper air
flow and drying process with the Amdry insulated subfloor.
