418 Host Mapping of Physical Page Zero May Cause Incorrect
Translation
Description
Under highly specific and detailed architectural conditions, the processor may use an incorrect cached
copy of translation tables during a SVM nested page translation. This condition requires that the host
be in legacy physical address extension (PAE) mode and that the guest address translation tables
reside in physical page zero.
Potential Effect on System
Unpredictable system behavior. This condition has not been observed in any commercially available
software.
Suggested Workaround
Hypervisor software should not use physical addresses 0 through 4095 for guest pages.
