3.1 Optic Lens
The camera unit is equipped with a VGA, 640x480 sensor
that is capable of capturing full light, low light, and night
vision scenarios. Do not directly touch the camera lens. If the
lens needs cleaning, please use a lint free microfiber cloth.
3.2 IR LED Array
Located behind the black, glossy plastic and around the
optic lens on the camera is an infrared LED array. In low or
no light, this array emits a non-visible light spectrum which is
used to produce an image. This is especially helpful for
monitoring at night.
3.3 Ambient Light Sensor
The ambient light sensor located on top of the camera base
is used to examine the surrounding light. When the
surrounding light is low, the sensor will triggerthe nonvisible
night vision LEDs.
3.4 Nightlight
The night vision feature is located behind a tinted plastic
lens that surrounds the camera lens. It is important that the
lens remain uncovered for the night vision feature to
properly function. Please note that the night vision feature is
automatically triggered by the ambient light sensor as
described in section 3.3.
