Can't Pair a Remote or Game Controller

If you can't pair your Amazon Fire TV Remote, Amazon Fire TV Voice Remote, or wireless game

controller, it may not be within range or compatible.

Check this first:

• Fire TV Stick is compatible with Amazon Fire TV Remote, Fire TV Voice Remote, Amazon Fire Game

Controller, and many Bluetooth-enabled third-party wireless game controllers. To learn more, visit

• Your remote must be within 30 feet of Fire TV Stick.

• Re-install the batteries. You have five minutes to pair your remote with Fire TV Stick before it goes into

sleep mode.

• Use the HDMI extender cable to remove physical barriers between the remote and Fire TV Stick.

• If your remote isn’t discovered, press the Home button for 5 - 10 seconds.

Still having trouble?

Disconnect the power cord from your Fire TV Stick for three seconds, and then plug the power cord back

in.
