Manage Your Device
With Manage Your Device, you can locate, deregister, or erase your Kindle Fire tablet or Fire phone device
remotely. These features may be useful if you have lost or misplaced your device.
Manage Your Device
currently supports the following devices:

Kindle Fire HD (2nd Generation)
•
Kindle Fire HDX
•
Kindle Fire HDX 8.9"
•
Fire phone
Important:
• If your device has been stolen, contact your local law enforcement for assistance. Do not attempt to retrieve a
stolen device yourself using the Find My Device feature.
• If you own a device that is not compatible with the Manage Your Device features, contact Amazon Customer
Support for additional information about lost or stolen devices.
• If your device is turned off or not connected to a wireless network, Manage Your Device won’t be able to locate,
deregister, or erase it.
Turn On Manage Your Device
Before you can use Manage Your Device
remotely, you must enable the feature on your device.
• For Kindle Fire tablets:
a. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open
Quick Settings, and then tap Settings.
b. Tap Device.
c. Next to Find My Kindle, tap On.
• For Fire phone:
a. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Actions panel, and then tap Settings.
b. Tap Location Services, and then tap Enable Find Your Phone.
c. Next to Find Your Phone, tap On.
Note: If the Find My Kindle / Find Your Phone option is unavailable, you must first turn on Location Services.
Location-based services must be turned on to use this feature. To learn more about location-based services and
using them on your device, go to Location Services.
Features of Manage Your Device
If you have lost or misplaced your device, you can locate, deregister, or erase your supported device from .

Go to Manage Your Content and DevicesManage Your Content and Devices(Amazon.com full site).
2. Under Your Devices, select a device that supports Manage Your Device.
3. Choose your option from the available device actions:
• Deregister - Deregister your device from your Amazon account. When you deregister a device, you
will no longer be able to access your content through any of the Amazon applications on the device
