6. Cleaning and Maintenance
NOTICE
» During cleaning do not immerse the lid (A) in water or other liquids. Never hold the lid (A) under
running water.
» Empty the product regularly, especially when collecting organic waste.
» To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
» Wipe the product dry after cleaning.
» Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the
product.
» Remove batteries if the product is to be stored unused for extended periods of time.
» To remove batteries:
1. Set the power switch (H) to O.
2. Open the cover of the battery compartment (G).
3. Place a coin in the groove of the lock knob. Turn it clockwise to remove the lock knob.

4. Remove one battery.
5. By pushing the last battery out, the last 2 batteries are accessible to remove.

Problem Solution
The lid (A) does not open. » Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly.
» Wipe the sensor (C) with a dry cloth.
The lid (A) does not close.. » Use the control button (B) to close the lid (A).
» Make sure there is no obstructing object within the sensor area.
» Wipe the sensor with a dry cloth.
The lid (A) opens slowly and the
indicator (D) ashes red.
Battery power is low. Change batteries.
