2.2.3 RF connection for one Cell MIMO 2x2 in TDD mode
In TDD mode, as both TX and RX are sent on the same channel, only TX1 port is needed for
the main antenna and RX2 for the diversity/MIMO antenna.
However, with Amarisoft SDR card, it is possible to force the DL signal reception on RX port
and Uplink signal transmission on TX port when rx_antenna: "rx" is set in the RF driver
configuration file.
This improves the performance of the SDR card as we don’t have to switch the RF several times
per radio frame.
