Under the Greetings dialog change the MMO type to “Other”, then click create.
Enter “Grt n English” as the Key (where n is the greeting number such as 1, 2, 3, etc).
The description is optional (it’s useful to enter a note about why you created this greeting
or what it’s for).
Click edit mmo, then check the box that says “Enable advanced formats”. Select ASCII
Text as the type. Click ok to open a text box where you can type in the text you want read
back as your greeting.
Close the notepad choosing yes to save the changes. Then click yes when prompted if
you want to apply the changes. Change the MMO type back to greetings, and your TTS
greeting should be listed. Set the new TTS greeting as the current greeting to use it.
22.3 Setting up the Email Reader
To setup the email reader we have to edit the extended mailbox properties for each user
with Amanda Portal Station. Select the mailbox you want to setup the email reader for,
and open the extended mailbox properties.
Edit the values for POP_ACCOUNT, and POP_SERVER setting the values to the email
account (for the POP_ACCOUNT) and POP server (for the POP_SERVER).
Create a new mmo under Greetings =>Other called “POP_PASSWORD”, the key name
should be "POP_PASSWORD", and the description should be the password for the email
account specified under POP_ACCOUNT, and set the privateness to owner only.
Sourcing in the email.tcl File
Before you can use the email reader, you must source in the email.tcl file from the
Amanda Portal Product CD’s miscellaneous folder.
• Copy the email.tcl file from the Amanda Portal product cd to the
c:\amanda folder.
• Login to telnet as mailbox 999 (from a command prompt or run type
“telnet localhost”), and then type login 999 999.
• Finally, type “source c:/amanda/email.tcl” and press enter. Finally, exit
telnet.
