4.7.2.2.2.3.4 Startup Test Valid Period (hours)
After deciding that a frequency is Available (no radar was detected by the Channel
Availability Check algorithm), it is considered as an Available frequency for a
period defined by the Startup Test Valid Period parameter. During this period the
unit may start transmitting on this frequency without performing a Channel
Availability Check.
The range is from 0 to 48 hours.
The default is 6 hours.
4.7.2.2.2.3.5 Radar Detection Threshold (dBm)
The Radar Detection Threshold is the minimum level of received radar signal that
must be detected by the algorithm assuming an Rx Antenna gain of 0 dBi. The
higher the EIRP, the higher should be the Radar Detection Threshold.
The range is from -36 to -70 dBm.
The default depends on the EIRP (Tx Power + Antenna Gain) of the Sector:
4.7.2.2.2.4 Usable Frequencies
The Usable Frequencies List can include frequencies to be used for DFS. The
subset of usable frequencies list should be defined taking into account the allowed
frequencies according to applicable regulations and the requirement for uniform
spreading.
The Usable Frequency menu includes the following options:

NOTE
For units using the 5.8 GHz ETSI, 5.4-5.8 GHz ETSI, 5.8 GHz FCC and 5.4-5.8 GHz FCC Band
Name: DFS is not required by the relevant ETSI/FCC regulations for frequencies in the range from
5850 to 5875 MHz. These means that frequencies in this range included in the Usable Frequencies
List are always considered as Available.
