1.3.3.2 Single Sector, No Diversity Configurations
Single Sector No Diversity (1SIS model) units include a BS connected to an
internal radio with either an RF connection to an external antenna or (in 4.9/5.4
GHz units only) an integral dual slant antenna using the same slant as the PRO
5100 series CPEs. 1SIS model units support the Single Sector Single BS without
Diversity operation mode providing a bandwidth of up to 10 MHz per sector.
1.3.4 Power Supply
The BTS is powered from a 48V DC power source. Alvarion offers a range of indoor
AC/DC power supplies to support the different power requirements of the various
BTS units:
A high power AC/DC power supply that may be used to provide power to all
BTS types.
A low power PoE AC/DC power supply that can supply DC power over the
Ethernet connection to 5 GHz BTS units.
1.3.5 Radio Antennas
According to radio band and configuration, BTS units are supplied with either
integral antenna(s) or with connection(s) to external antenna(s). Alvarion offers a
range of external antennas to support various deployment and coverage needs.
