Chapter 1 - Products Description
1.1 BreezeMAX CPEs
The WiMAX-ready PRO-S CPE And Si CPE Subscriber Units (SUs) are powered by
Intel's Pro/Wireless 5116 WiMAX chip. BreezeMAX CPEs serve as an efficient
platform for a wide range of services, providing bridge functionality and
supporting up to 512 MAC addresses.
BreezeMAX CPEs are currently available in the 2.3 GHz (WCS), 2.5 GHz (MMDS
and MCS) and 3.5 GHz frequency bands.
BreezeMAX CPEs support dual operation modes, enabling in future releases
detection of the protocol used in the wireless link (APD) and automatic switching
between FDD and TDD operation modes (not applicable to CPEs in bands where
only a single operation mode is supported, such as the 2.3 and 2.5 GHz bands).
Configuration and performance monitoring of the unit can be performed using
any of the following options:
Remotely by the Base Station, where the Base Station is managed using either
the Monitor program or SNMP.
Locally via the Ethernet port, using Telnet to access the Installer Monitor
program.
Using a PC/Notebook or a PDA/Pocket PC with an http browser to access the
built-in web configuration server.
For the Self-Install Si CPE, a user-friendly Installation Utility application
designed for the non-professional end user provides easy to follow installation
instructions and performance monitoring and configuration capabilities.
