Rear View
1. Power Jack
The power cable plugs in here.
2. Power Switch
This standard rocker switch powers the unit on and off.
3. PON Port
This connector is provided for a Power over the Net (PON) unit to plug into.
A PON device allows computers attached to the KN9116 to be booted
remotely over the net. Contact your dealer for more details.
4. CPU Ports
The cables that link to the computers plug in here. The shape of these
connectors has been specifically modified so that only cables designed to
work with this switch can plug in (see the Cables section on p. 4 for details).
5. LAN Port
The cable that connects the KN9116 to the Internet plugs in here.
6. Local Console Section
The KN9116 can be accessed via a local console as well as over the Net.
The cables for the local console (keyboard, monitor, and mouse) plug in
here. Each port is color coded and marked with an appropriate icon to
indicate itself.
