Troubleshooting
General Operation
Problem Resolution
Erratic Operation If the KN9000 is connected to a KVM switch, make
sure to power on the switch before powering on the
KN9000.
The Administrator Utility
Problem Resolution
Unable to enter the
Administrator Utility the first
time that it is run.
Make sure that the KN9000’s DIP Switch segment 2
is set to the ON position (see the Note regarding the
DIP Switch on p. 28 for details).
Cannot save changes that
were made in the
Administrator Utility.
Make sure that the KN9000’s DIP Switch segment 2
is set to the ON position (see the Note regarding the
DIP Switch on p. 28 for details).
Forgot/Corrupt Password Turn off the power; short jumper labeled Password
Default on the KN9000’s mainboard; turn on the
power and wait for all the LEDs to blink; turn off the
power and open the Password Default jumper; start
the KN9000 up.
The Windows Client
Problem Resolution
Remote mouse pointer
is out of step.
1. Use the AutoSync feature (see Video Adjustment,
p. 38), to synch the local and remote monitors.
2. Use the Adjust Mouse feature (see Mouse
Movement, p. 36) to bring them back in step.
Part of remote window
is off my monitor.
