GlobalProtect Administrator’s Guide 7
Set Up the GlobalProtect Infrastructure
In order for GlobalProtect to work, you must set up the basic infrastructure that allows all of the components
to communicate. At a basic level, this means setting up the interfaces and zones that the GlobalProtect end users
will connect to in order to access the portal and gateways. Because the GlobalProtect components communicate
over secure channels, you must acquire and deploy all of the required SSL certificates on the various
components. The following sections walk you through the basic steps to set up the GlobalProtect infrastructure:
Create Interfaces and Zones for GlobalProtect
Enable SSL Between GlobalProtect Components
Set Up GlobalProtect User Authentication
Enable Group Mapping
Configure GlobalProtect Gateways
Configure the GlobalProtect Portal
Deploy the GlobalProtect Client Software
