DESCRIPTION OF DA1906SX 4
4.1 INPUT
The computer input connector of the DA1906SX
is connected to the video output of the laptop or
desktop computer. The DA1906SX is provided
with a 3 foot Male to Male VGA input cable
(ALTINEX part # CB3703MR). A longer input
cable may be used but lengths over 15 feet are
generally not recommended in order to preserve
the signal quality. If desired, the HD-15 input
can be adapted easily to 5-BNC connector
outputs with a proper cable.
Often, laptop computers will require a “toggle
command”, which will instruct the laptop to
output to the internal display, as well, as to the
external video port simultaneously. You may
need to check the user’s manual for your laptop
computer to determine this command.
The input is standard VGA compatible.
MAC/SUN/SGI outputs can be used with the
appropriate input cable.

4.2 OUTPUTS
The DA1906SX has 3 buffered outputs with 15-
pin HD female connectors. Loop output is
amplified output to attach a local monitor. The
main output is for the distant presentation
display (large screen monitor or LCD projector)
up to 250 feet away. The main output is pre-
compensated for optimal performance with 75 ft
of Altinex super high-resolution VGA cable. If
desired the outputs can be adapted easily to 5-
BNC connectors with a proper cable.

4.3 TERMINATION SWITCH
The DA1906SX offers the ability to terminate the
input with 75 ohms using a switch located on the
side of the unit, next to the 15-pin HD input
connector. This switch should normally be in the
UP or "ON" position when used with straight
VGA type cables. This will insure that the signal
is properly terminated by the DA1906SX.
When a VGA "Y" cable (MS8117CA) is used
with the DA1906SX, the Termination Switch
