Configuration Interfaces
There are two methods of configuring and programming the EPXA10
device:
■ Using the flash memory programmer
■ Using the Quartus
®
II software
Using the Flash Memory Programmer
The Altera flash memory programmer (exc_flash_programmer.exe) is a
utility that allows users to program flash memory on the EBI using the
JTAG interface.
With the flash memory programmer, you can program the EPXA10
development board’s flash memory with the required hardware and
software image. When this phase has finished, the processor boots up and
configures the PLD side of the EPXA10, and then loads the PLD with the
appropriate software application.
