Important NOTICE to all purchas ers of a DS R4639 Decoder.
INTRODUCTION
The DS R4639 decoder is designe d, manufactured a nd sold to receive selected network service s only. It will
therefore
not be fully functional unless it is used with the network operator's enabled Smartcard supplied with the
DSR4639
decoder, deploye d within the Australian VAST broadcast footprint, and ins talle d so as to receive the
network specific signal.
The network operator is e ntitled to amend the software incorporated in the DSR4639 Decoder from time to
time by
means of s oftware downloads for a number of reasons , including preventing the DSR4639 Decoder from
being used
to receive services other than the network operator services.

Due to the many potential configurations in each home and the variety of equipment available, it is not
possible to
cover every potential installation s cenario in this Viewer's Guide . An Accredited Installer or the supplier /
manufacturer of the specific e quipment should be cons ulted if any doubt exists when doing an installation.
