Symptom Possible Problem Solution
No power
indicator light
is on (AC
Operation).
The iM310 may not be properly
connected to a wall outlet.
See proper AC Power instructions in the
“Power” section of this manual.
The surge protector (if used) may
not be powered on.
Make sure the surge protector is switched on.
The wall outlet may not be
functioning.
Plug another device into the same wall
outlet to conrm the outlet is working.
The power may not be turned on. See instructions in the “Start Playing”
section of this manual.
No power
indicator light
is on (Battery
Operation).
The batteries may not be
installed properly.
See proper DC Power instructions in the
“Power” section of this manual.
The power may not be turned on. See instructions in the “Start Playing”
section of this manual.
There is no
sound is coming
from speakers.
The volume may be set too low. To increase the volume, see instructions in
the “Volume” section of this manual.
If using an alternate audio source, see
instructions regarding volume level in the
“Connecting to alternate audio source”
section of this manual.
The iPod may not be correctly
seated into the docking station.
Turn off the iPod, remove it from the docking
station, reseat it, and turn it on again.
If using an alternate audio
source, the audio source may
not be properly connected to the
inMotion iM310 or there may
be a problem with the alternate
audio source.

There is a
crackling sound
coming from
speakers.
The iPod may not be correctly
seated into the docking station.
