11 CONFIGURATION
11.6 Safety factors
This page allows the safety heights and behaviour in abort mode to be defined.
• Arrival height The height above terrain that the glider should arrive at for a safe landing.
• Breakoff height This is the height above terrain, below which the pilot should abort the task and
prepare for an outlanding.
• Terrain height The height above terrain that the glider must clear during final glide.
• Abort use current Mc When enabled, the current MacCready setting is used for determining
arrival altitude during task abort mode.
• Safety Mc The MacCready setting used in task abort mode and for determining arrival altitude
at airfields.
