RDS Operation
Trafc Announcement
Touch .
The “TA” indicator is displayed and the unit switches to standby
mode to receive trafc announcements.
When a trafc announcement is received, the “TP” indicator lights
up and a corresponding popup is displayed. Press [Close] to close.
Press [TA Off] to turn the TA feature off.
The “TP” indicator lights up during standby mode off in a condition
other than radio source to indicate that the unit is receiving the
trafc announcement.
If the trafc announcement broadcast signal falls below a certain
level, the unit remains in the receiving mode for 1 minute.
Receiving Trafc Information Manually

Touch to turn on the Trafc Information
mode.
The “TA” indicator lights up.

Seeks the broadcast station which is broadcasting the trafc
information.
You can seek the trafc information in DX Seek mode.
Turning AF (Alternative Frequencies)
On or Off
The RDS (Radio Data System) is a radio information system using
the 57 kHz subcarrier of regular FM broadcasts. The RDS allows
you to receive a variety of information such as traffic information,
station names, and to automatically re-tune to a stronger transmitter
that is broadcasting the same programme.

Check the [AF] box to turn the feature on.
When AF is turned on, the “AF” indicator will be lit up.
RDS mode is not displayed for the MW or LW band.
When the AF is turned on, the unit automatically tunes to a strong
signal broadcast in the AF list.
Turn the AF off when automatic re-tuning is not required.
Regional Stations
This feature allows users to lock-down the device to their
current region or allow the radio to tune into other region specic
programming.

Check the [Regional] box to turn the feature on.
When Regional feature is turned off, the unit automatically
keeps receiving the local RDS station.
