About This Manual
This manual explains what SmartApplets are and how you can install them on
NEO 1 or NEO 2 laptops or remove them from your NEOs. It also explains
how to use the SmartApplets that are installed when you receive your NEO(s).
NEO 1 and NEO 2 in This Manual
This manual describes SmartApplets for both NEO 1 and NEO 2 models.
When it refers to NEO, the manual is referring to both models. When it refers
to NEO 1 or NEO 2, the manual is referring to that specific model.
What Are SmartApplets?
SmartApplets are programs that are installed on your NEOs. These programs
allow you to write on the NEO, practice keyboarding skills, do calculations,
change settings, administer quizzes to your students, or “beam” files from one
NEO to another. NEO 2 also has SmartApplets that allow students to
complete work for some Renaissance Place programs, AccelTest, and the
2Know! Toolbar.
