Beaming AlphaWord Plus Files between NEOs
If you have the Beamer SmartApplet, you can follow the steps below to beam
AlphaWord Plus files from one NEO to another. You don’t have to be in the
Beamer SmartApplet itself; sending files right from AlphaWord Plus is the
fastest method.
Follow these steps to beam a file to another NEO within AlphaWord Plus:
1. On the sending NEO, start AlphaWord Plus and go to the file you want to
send.
2. On the receiving NEO, start AlphaWord Plus and go to the file # that will
receive the data.
3. Place the NEOs within three feet of each other and aim their infrared ports
at each other as shown on the previous page.
4. On the sending NEO, press ctrl-send.
5. On the receiving NEO, press ctrl-B.
6. If the file that the receiving NEO chose was empty, the new file will be
received into it. If it contained text, choose whether to overwrite the text or
append the new data to the end of it.
Starting the Beamer SmartApplet
To see the send and receive options within the SmartApplet, or to change the
settings, you can start the Beamer SmartApplet. Follow these steps:
1. Press on/off to start your NEO, then press applets. The SmartApplets
menu appears.
2. Use the arrow keys to move your cursor next to Beamer. Then, press
enter.
