Capabilities in Renaissance Place Programs
Capabilities in Renaissance Place programs give users the right to perform
specific tasks in the software. They are preassigned based on:
• the user group you belong to and the position you hold in your district or
school
• the tasks that group usually performs
KeyWords RP has no capabilities that are unique to that program, but you can
find a table of Renaissance Place tasks and the standard set of capabilities in
the Renaissance Place Software Manual. Within Renaissance Place, district
or school administrators can change the capabilities assigned to:
• new users added to a specific group
• groups of current users already in the database
• a specific person
To find out how to change capabilities, see the Renaissance Place Software
Manual. That manual also includes a list of the user groups and the positions
in each group.
Student
Record
Provides information about student performance on
keyboarding lessons. Includes the lesson name, whether or
not it was passed, the student’s goals and actual
performance for words per minute and errors, and the
accuracy and speed builders completed. The report also
includes the date that data was last brought into KeyWords
RP using AlphaSmart Manager.
You may select:
• classes or students to include
•date range
• page break after each student’s
information
Teacher Lists KeyWords RP teachers, their user names, classes, and
class position.
Things to Note
• This report can help the administrator see which teachers
are using KeyWords RP.
• When teachers print the report, it includes only their
information. It doesn’t include other teachers.
• Only teachers of KeyWords RP classes are included. To
make a class a KeyWords RP class, check the
KeyWords box when you assign a teacher or when you
assign products to the classes in a course.
