The Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ VH40 QwikBUS™ Series
stations are designed to work as an apartment type open voice
video-intercom station, using a minimal of wiring. All VH40 stations
in a building can be wired on only two (2) common (loop) wires!
The QwikBUS™ system can support hundreds of VH40 stations on
a single system. Choose from White and two (2) other decorator
inspired finishes.
These attractive and trim stations easily surface mount right on
the finished wall. Stations can be changed to desk mount with the
addition of a model TZ-VFS (White) desk adapter.
All VH40 series QwikBUS™ stations selectable electronic tone
signaling, Voice On, Door Release, and Call Volume, as well as a
crystal glass protective screen cover to allow for quick and easy
cleaning.
These switches can be used for door release, or other signaling
functions, depending upon system configuration. All VH40 series
QwikBUS™ stations can be inter-mixed with the VHC3033 and/or
VFS1000 series QwikBUS™ video-intercom monitors.

the surface wall type station.
Architects' And Engineers' SpecificationsArchitects' And Engineers' Specifications
The 2-Wire handset type video-intercom station(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ QwikBUS™ VH40 in (White, Black or
White/Black) finish. Station(s) shall be mounted surface (standard), or desktop with the optional TZ-VFS desk mounting adapter. Station(s)
shall feature electret condenser microphone for exceptional half-duplex voice fidelity (requiring no pressing of any Talk or Listen buttons).
Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 4.3" color video screen (measured diagonally) and soft touch button controls. Monitors using mirrors or
other non-flat type screens, or coaxial cable shall not be acceptable. Monitor(s) shall feature controls for brightness, contrast and horizontal
hold. Screen and soft touch button controls shall be protected by crystal/glass.
Stations that include simplex type or other voice technologies shall not be acceptable. Station shall include Voice On and Door Release soft
touch control buttons. Station(s) shall include a built-in (user selectable) electronic call tone signal. Station(s) shall require only two (2)
common (loop) wires for system operation.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and building codes.
