Architects' And Engineers' Specifications
The video-intercom monitor station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® / S.T.R.™ VH30K (residential/commercial) or
VH30AK (apartment house) type. Monitor(s) shall be mounted
surface (or desktop using optional model TZ30WH adapter).
Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 4.0" flat screen. Monitors
using mirrors or other non-flat type screens shall not be
acceptable. Monitor(s) shall feature front mounted controls for
brightness, contrast and horizontal hold Monitor handset shall
feature electret condenser microphone for exceptional voice
fidelity. Handsets that include carbon transmitter or other voice
technologies shall not be acceptable. Handset shall have a
textured finish and flexible coiled cord. Handset shall include a door
release (KEY SYMBOL) button and auxiliary (DOT) push button.
Push buttons shall be clearly visible and shall be marked in a
different color. Handset shall include an adjustable volume AC
buzzer (or optional R2007 AlphaTone™ chime adapter).
VH30K / VH30AK B&W Video-Intercom Monitors
The AlphaCommunications®/S.T.R.™ VH30K (residential /
commercial) and VH30AK (apartment house) series monitors are
designed to meet virtually any requirement for video-intercom
security.
These attractive monitors are conveniently surface mounted right
on the wall. Monitors can be changed to desk mount with the
addition of a model TZ30 series desk adapter.
All VH30K / VH30AK series monitors feature a crystal clear
4.0" black and white flat screen monitor (measured diagonally),
textured finish handset (to minimize scratches and fingerprints),
electric buzzer signalling (adjustable), flexible coiled cord and two
(2) momentary button switches.These switches can be used for
door release or other signalling functions, depending upon system
configuration. The VH30K (residential/commercial) monitors feature
a front-mounted 'ON' button to turn the monitor on without being
called from an entrance panel.
With the addition of a low-cost Model R2007 AlphaTone™
chime adapter, you can easily change the electric buzzer to a
modern warble chime tone sound.
