The 32-Output Signal Relay Board(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® AlphaEntry™ series
RY032AE or equivalent. Each RY032AE board
shall provide 32 output relays, which will be
triggered and time controlled by
the AlphaEntry™ system software. All 32 of the
relays shall have one (1) 'common' connection,
which shall be internally jumped on the RY032AE
board. Each relay shall be rated for 1A, and shall
be field selectable for NO or NC output contacts.
Each relay shall have a diagnostic LED which will
remain lighted as long as that relay is
activated. Up to 16 of the RY032AE boards can
be daisy-chained (using model CT032AEJ jumper
cables), and each system shall require a model
KE-PWR5/2A 5VDC, 2A plugin power supply and
a model CT032AE6 serial cable to connect the
first RY032AE board to the PC's serial
output connector. The RY032AE relay boards
shall surface mount right onto the finished wall
(or wooden mounting board) by means of screw
mounting on top of plastic stand-offs (provided).
All wiring to relay shall be low-voltage Class II
wiring, installed as per all federal, state, and
local electrical and building codes.

The Alpha Communications® RY032AE 32-Output
Signal Relay Boards are used to provide 32 timed relays
to be triggered by our AlphaEntry™ software, running
on a Windows based PC. The primary use is for an
entry intercom (or video-intercom) system, to replace
a pushbutton type door entry station with a PC-based
graphical directory and calling system. Up to 16 RY032AE boards can be used on
each AlphaEntry™ system, for a total capacity of 512 relays. Each relay comes
factory set as Normally Open (NO), but can individually be changed to Normally
Closed (NC) by moving a simple jumper adjacent to each relay. The RY032AE boards
are powered from a 5VDC , 2A plug-in power supply (model KE-PWR5/2A). When
jumping from one RY032AE to another, you will require a model CT032AEJ jumper
cable. The first RY032AE board connects to the PC using a model CT032AE6
connector cable (as extender cable as required).
Each of the 32 relays have a diagnostic LED that will light as long as the associated
relay is activated.
The RY032AE relay boards are designed to easily surface mount right onto the
finished wall (or wooden mounting board) by means of screw mounting on top of
plastic stand-offs (provided).
Relay connections are positive screw terminal type, using barrier type terminal
connector strips.
