SPECIFICATIONS
T h e AlphaRefuge™  2400  Series  system
Refuge  Call  Center(s)  shall  be  Alpha
Communications® RCC2516CS  (16-station)
o r RCC2556CS  (56-station),  or
RCC25112CS  (112-station),or  approved
equal.
The  Refuge  Call  Center(s)  shall  be  Surface
Mount type  and shall be heavy-duty  steel  in a
powder  coated  finish,  with  twist  lock  closure.
The cabinet shall be able to accept a Fireman's
Lock  (not  provided  by  Alpha
Communications®).  The  Refuge  Call  Center(s)
shall  be  programmable  to  call  out  on  a
telephone  line  to  a  911  call  center  or  other
emergency call locations.
These  units  shall  be  powered  by  a  model
PWRAPC  power  supply  (up  to  36  remote  call
boxes)  or  a  model PWRAPC112  power  supply
(for  37  to  112  remote  call  boxes)  and  the
power  supply  shall contain  the  built-in  battery
back-up  and  charger  circuitry  required  for
these devices.
The RCC2516CS shall be capable of connecting
with  up  to  (16)  and  the RCC2556CS  shall  be
capable of connecting with up to (56) and the
RCC25112CS  shall  be  capable  of  connecting
with up to (112)  of  the RCB2400 series Refuge
Call Boxes

CALL CENT ERS (ALPHAREFUGE™ 2400 SERIES)
The  Alpha  Communications® RCC2516CS  (16-station),
RCC2556CS (56-station) and RCC25112CS  (112-station)  Refuge  Call
Centers are used with the AlphaRefuge™ 2400 Series Area of  Refuge
system,  and  are  Surface  Mount  type  built  into  a  lockable  painted
cabinet. They are used with the RCB2400 Series Refuge Call Boxes.
These  Refuge  Call  Centers are  powered  by  connecting  to  the
central  PBX controller and the PWRAPC  or PWRAPC112 power supply
unit.
The  AlphaRefuge™  2400  Series  central  equipment  power  supply
provides back-up  battery  and  charging  circuitry  for  the RCB2400
series remote call boxes as well as the refuge command center.
Only one (1) PWRAPC power supply is needed per system for up to
3 6 RCB2400  series  refuge  call  boxes.  For  systems  with  37  to  112
RCB2400  series  refuge call  boxes,  use  the PWRAPC112  power supply
in place of the PWRAPC unit.

Heavy-duty  Button  Switches  and  Red  Handset  with  coiled
cord
Rescue  personnel  can  pick  up  the  Refuge  Call  Center
handset  and  talk  with  the  Refuge  Call  Box(es)  and  any
existing emergency call
Install the  Refuge  Call  Center  in a central location on the first
floor  (wall  mount)  or  in  an  area  approved  by  the  local  AHJ
(Authority Having Jurisdiction)
IBC,  NFPA,  ADAAG  Code  Compliant  and  Elevator  Code
