Specifications
The Area of Refuge (Area of Rescue)
system(s) shall be
Alpha Communication/ Tektone
NC150R series, or approved equal. It shall
have push-button controlled circuits and
indicator lights for talk and call
functions. At the master location,
contractor shall furnish and install one (1)
model NC150R master annunciator with
the model OF150 frame and model OH150
flush backbox. Annunciator shall
have indicator lights no less than 5/8" by
5/8" in size, to allow for positive call-in
recognition, when activated. Each
NC150R master station shall have a built-
in voice amplifier with internal volume
controls, built-in test button, and eight
(8) selector switch/lamps. The indicator
lights shall have removable lenses for
easy lamp replacement (from the front),
and also to protect the identification
markings.
At each of the remote call-in locations,
contractor shall furnish and install a model
IR150N (Alum.) or IR150SS (Flush St.
Steel) or IR150SS/S (Surface St. Steel)
remote station , and its associated
IH106N or OH600 flush back box (and
optional RSN7049 instructional sign).
Remote(s) shall have CALL and CANCEL
buttons as well as Call-Placed and Call-
Answered L.E.D. indicators. Screw
terminals shall be provided for all wiring
connections.
Contractor shall observe all local and
national electrical and building codes (and
A.D.A. regulations).
NC150R Area of Refuge (Area of Rescue) System
The Alpha Communications® / TekTone NC150R series Area of Refuge (Area of Rescue)
system is designed to provide communication between the master intercom/annunciator
station, and up to eight (8) (or more) area of refuge (rescue) remote call-in stations.
Calls are indicated at the master by visual and audible signals. The master station also has
sensitive two-way communications and tone call functions. Remote call-in stations have
sensitive two way communications, call-placed and call-answered L.E.D. indicators.
A maximum of eight (8) remote call-in stations may be connected to the standard NC150R
master station. Larger capacity NC150N masters, or masters with desk or surface mounting,
are available on a special-order basis.
