SPECIFICAT IONS
The apartment station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® (V.I.P.™ series) model
IS407C or approved equal. Station faceplate
shall be minimum .035" solid stainless steel.
Momentary action, metal push-buttons shall
b e provided for TALK, LISTEN and DOOR
functions. Button markings shall be right on the
faceplate. The speaker / microphone shall be a
2.75" (70mm) high-sensitivity type with
excellent voice-frequency and tone signaling
response. Color coded pigtails shall be
provided, and required wiring shall be only
three (3) common wires and one (1) selective.
(Add 1-common wire for systems with individual
apt. door push-buttons that need to tone
through the IS407C stations). Contractor shall
observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communications® IS407C (V.I.P.™ se ries) apartment intercom
stations are designed spe cifically to minimize vandalism and te nant
abuse . Made from .035" thick solid stainless ste el, w ith solid metal push-
buttons, these stations are made to last. A high sensitivity 2.75" (70mm)
speaker assure s clear voice communication, as w ell as tone signal
re s pons e . T h e IS407C can be mounte d flush on our popular IH101
f l u s h ba ck box or IH102 flush mounting ring. For surface
mo u n t re quirements, use the IH700G surfa ce box, or choose our
model IS407S (surface ) sta tion inste ad.
Color-coded pigtail w iring makes the se stations e asy to w ire and re sists
w ate r corrosion found on P.C. board type stations. The advanced
electronic design permits us e in any size building.
A w ide variety of optional accessories is available to provide additional
functions such as multi-entrance operation, post office door relea se,
silent or delayed door re lease, etc. Stations are a lso available in custom
sizes and w iring configura tions.
