Specifications
The apartment station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® (V.I.P.™ series) model
IS407S or approved equal. Station faceplate
shall be minimum .035" solid stainless steel.
Momentary action, metal push-buttons shall
be provided for TALK, LISTEN and DOOR
functions. Button markings shall be right on
the faceplate. The speaker/microphone shall
be a 2.75" (70mm) high-sensitivity type
with excellent voice-frequency and tone
signaling response. Color-coded pigtail wires
shall be provided, and required standard
wiring shall be only three (3) common wires
and one (1) selective. (Add 1-common wire
for systems with individual apt. door push-
buttons that need to tone through the
IS407S stations).

The Alpha Communications® IS407S (V.I.P.™ series) apartment inte rcom stations are
de signed specifically to minimize vanda lism and tenant abuse . Made from .035" thick
solid stainless ste el, w ith meta l push-butto ns, the se s tations a re made to last. A high
sensitivity 2.75" (70mm) spe ake r as sures clea r voice communication, as w ell as tone signal
response.
The IS407S is de signed to e asily surface mount right onto the finished w all surface , w ithout a
costly back box. For a more secure insta llation or for uneven w all surfaces , we re commend
the included BP407S stee l backplate connector be use d.
Color-code d pigtail w iring make s the se sta tions e asy to w ire a nd re sists w ate r corrosion
found on P.C. board type stations. The a dvanced e lectronic de sign permits use in a ny size
building.
A w ide variety of optional acce ssorie s is a va ilable to provide additional functions such as
multi-entra nce opera tion, po st office door re lease , silent or de laye d door relea se, etc.
Stations a re a lso ava ilable in custo m size s and w iring configurations.
