Apartment stations shall be Alpha
Communications® / TekTone model
IR103E, IR104E, or IR105E or approved
equal, equipped with momentary action
push-buttons for TALK, LISTEN, and DOOR
operation. Each push-button shall have
both English and Universal Graphic Symbol
imprinting as well as braille symbols. The
speaker/microphone shall be a 2.5" high-
sensitivity type with voice-frequency
response. Screw terminal connections
shall be provided for positive wiring
termination. The station shall be molded of
high-impact, flame retardant ABS plastic,
in a white finish.
Required wiring shall be only 2 common - 1
selective wires for the IR103E; 3 common
- 1 selective for the IR104E; and 4
common - 1 selective for the IR105E
station. See actual system wiring diagram

Contractor shall observe all local and
national electrical and building codes.

The Alpha Communications® / TekTone IR103E/IR104E/IR105E are apartment stations
which combine modern styling with ease of operation to provide natural, clear voice
communication and positive door-release operation. The white, high-impact, ABS plastic
faceplate blends with any decor. The advanced circuitry and versatility permits use in
large or small buildings, with one or several entrances.
A wide variety of optional accessories is available to provide additional functions such as
multiple entrance operation, post office door release, security alarm, etc.
With its new, slim, face plate design, these stations can now be fully surface mounted,
without the need for or the added expense of a separate surface back box.
