Architects' And Engineers' Specifications
The surface back box(es) shall be Alpha Communications® model
IH700G (Grey), IH700W (white) or OH700 (Black) or approved
equal. They shall be made of steel, and painted in a powder
coated epoxy finish. All models shall be partially open in the back
to allow for wire access and mounting.

building codes

Back Boxes
The Alpha Communications® models IH700G, IH700W and OH700
are surface mounting boxes, made of heavy gauge steel and
painted in a powder coat epoxy finish for durability.
They are our most popular surface mounting boxes, and are used
with a variety of surface mount intercom remote and master
stations. Theses boxes are finished on top, bottom and both sides,
and are partially open in the back to allow for wire access. They
have inside mounting holes to allow for mounting to popular
electrical boxes, or right to the finished wall surface.
The IH700W (White) box is usually used with White plastic type
stations.
The IH700G (Grey) and OH700 (Black) boxes are usually used with
Aluminum or Stainless Steel type stations. The OH700 (Black)
boxes are usually used with Polished Brass type stations, but can
also be used with the Aluminum or Stainless Steel type stations.
