The Emergency Push/Pull Stations shall be shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model EPS155, or
approved equal. Operation of emergency signals shall be
accomplished by a short pull on the nylon cord or by pulling /
pushing down on the Red lever marked 'EMERGENCY".
The Red "CALL PLACED" L.E.D. indicator shall flash to assure the
patient that the call has been placed. Switching mechanism shall
consist of a reliable DPDT switch.
The EPS155 is typically used as a toilet emergency pull station and
is not designed to be used in wet or damp environments. For wet
or damp (or shower) type applications use the model# EPS337
station instead.
All electronic components needed for these features shall be
mounted on a printed circuit board and all station components
shall be mounted an a rugged ABS plastic faceplate. The station(s)
shall be installed in a single gang ring with square box. Plug-in
connectors shall be provided for connections. The EPS155 shall be
UL® 1069 Listed to the latest standards.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communications® EPS155 Emergency Station may be
used in any location where activation of an emergency signal
is required. All electronic components are mounted on a circuit
board. The EPS155 features a built-in Red (flashing) LED, and 6
foot nylon pull cord.
Due to the flexibility of its design, it may be used as a PULL CORD
EMERGENCY STATION, OR a PUSH TYPE EMERGENCY STATION. The
pull cord supplied may be used for emergency call activation or if
so desired, the LARGE RED push/pull down lever may be used.
The EPS155 is used primarily with the AlphaLinQ™ 100 series
visual nurse-call system, but can be used and is backwards
compatible with some older systems as well. The EPS155 is U.L.
1069 listed, to the latest standards.
