APPLICATION
The Alpha Communications®/S.T.R.™ CSM-4 series
4 camera switching module is used in addition to the
VH30 series (B&W or COLOR) video-intercom moni-
tor, to allow video monitor activation, and electronic
switching of up to 4 cameras.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
AT THE VIDEO MONITOR STATION:
1. If you wish to view one (1) of the four (4) remote camera
locations, simply depress the pushbutton marked CAM1,
CAM2, CAM3 or CAM4, which corresponds to the cam-
era you wish to view. Depress the button for 2-3 seconds.
If less than four (4) cameras are used, some of these buttons
may not be functioning buttons.
2. If the video monitor is not already lighted, it will light,
enabling you to view the video screen, and camera you have
selected. You may adjust the picture brightness, contrast
and/or vertical hold as desired, using the front mounted
rotary controls on the video monitor, depending on your
video monitor model.
3. It is normal to hear a buzzer or tone/chime sound from
your monitor handset, while you are depressing the camera
activation button. If you have multiple monitors connected
to ring together, it is normal to hear the buzzer or tone/chime
sound at all of the monitor handsets connected together.
4. In systems with multiple door entry camera stations, the
system will automatically switch the voice, video and door
release functions to the last camera location, you have
selected (see your system installer for more details on your
specific system's functions).
5. The video screen will automatically time-out when the
shut-off time programmed into each monitor has elapsed.
