Specifications
The Serial to USB Adapter(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaEntry™ CA-USBSERV or
equivalent. The CA-USBSERV shall be used in
conjunction with the AlphaEntry™, QwikBUS™ or
other PC or components when a 9-pin 'Din' serial
connector needs to be used with a USB 2.0
connector on the PC.
The CA-USBSERV shall be USB 2.0 compliant,
and shall come with a 6 foot cable. The CA-
USBSERV shall be bus powered and shall be true
bi-directional, plug and play type, and shall
support data rates up to 230.0 Kbps.
Contractor shall observe all local and national
electrical and building codes.
CA-USBSERV Serial to USB Adapter
The Alpha Communications® CA-USBSERV AlphaEntry™ Serial to USB Adapters are
designed to be used with a variety of AlphaEntry™, QwikBUS™ and other hardware
components that have a 9-pin 'Din' serial connector and need to connect to a PC's
USB connector, when a serial connector is not available.
The CA-USBSERV device provides a simple and easy way to connect Universal Serial
Bus (USB) into Serial port interfaces. With the advantage of a USB port, users have
the capability to utilize the peripheral with serial port interface in an easy to
use environment such as plug and play & hot swap function(s). This adapter is
designed with a data transfer rate of over 1Mbps.
