UDP User Datagram Protocol is a TCP/IP protocol describing how
messages reach application programs within a destined computer. UDP
is a transport layer, connectionless mode protocol, providing a poten-
tially unreliable unsequenced datagram mode for delivery of packets to
a remote user.

such as CGI.

technologies provide extremely high bandwidth over the twisted-pair
copper wires that the phone company deploys over their telephone net-
work infrastructure.
